Crocodile safari from Airlie Beach: what the Proserpine day involves

The guide then takes the group aboard River Runner for a calm-water cruise through mangroves on the Proserpine River. Its itinerary allocates about two hours to the river leg. Tides can change the running order, so do not build another tightly timed booking around the published timetable.

That is the operator's population estimate, not a promise about the number visible from your boat. They are wild animals. Viewing depends on conditions and where the animals are on the day. This outing is for someone who wants to observe an estuary as well as look for crocodiles. It is not an offshore reef cruise, a zoo feeding session or a self-drive wildlife stop. Stay aboard and follow the crew's directions.
